Radar Technology & Microwave Imaging

With more than fifteen years of expertise in research and development of novel nearfield and close-range imaging systems, LHFT is one of the world wide leading institutes in the field of microwave and terahertz imaging. Current activities comprise the development of polarization-sensitive, multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO), sparse antenna array and microwave microscopy as well as air-coupled ultrasonic imaging systems. Operating frequencies lie in the regime of radio frequency, millimeter-, micro- and terahertz-waves and allow for a high flexibility and adaption to a large scope of applications, such as non-destructive testing, personnel screening or medical sensing.
