Diode Laser Spectroscopy

Besides compact size and sufficient output power, semiconductor lasers provide narrowband emission spectra and tenability due to static and dynamic chirp properties. Therefore these devices are suitable for spectroscopic applications with high sensitivity. Our institute has gained experience in spectroscopic applications the near and mid infrared spectral region, where DFB-Lasers and quantum cascade lasers are used respectively. The application scenarios range from gas sensing to environmental areas like drinking water treatment. Our core know how is in the control of the electro-optic device, the design and optimization of the optical signal path, the signal detection, and the adapted signal processing of spectroscopic setups.
